American video game developer, Vicarious Visions is excited to give Crash's fans a sneak peek at "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy." At Playstation Experience 2016 the developers surprised fans with a teaser. The biggest question the fans have is whether "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy" is a remaster or a remake. Game developers stated in a Playstation.Blog article that a traditional remaster is close to impossible. The original Naughty Dog "Crash Bandicoot" game is almost 20 years old and the original code and assets are almost unusable.

"Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy" is a remaster plus. As a remaster, the developers studied the old Naughty Dog "Crash Bandicoot" game and what the fans love about it. They played the game, studied the original concept art and commercials. They also studied the inspirations that Naughty Dog's Crash Bandicoot came from, " Who Framed roger Rabbit" to "Looney Tunes."

With the original level geometry from Naughty Dog's "Crash Bandicoot," Vicarious Visions built "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy" gameplay from scratch. Later, they added their own touch of art, animation and audio.

Here are the other areas Vicarious Visions are working on "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy." They have rebuilt characters based on the original design. Crash has more refined furs now. The cinematics is rebuilt but still inspired by the original.

They have added new features to "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy." Choosing which features was challenging since they had to incorporate the developing team's ideas and consider what the fans want and the need for the franchise to improve and evolve.

Naughty Dog has learned how to refine Crash Bandicoot after the course of creating the three games. Vicarious Visions picked the best from each game and applied to the remastered "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy" version.

In "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy", there will be a unified checkpointing and save game system which incudes manual and auto saves. There is also a new unified menu system. Time Trials will be available in all 3 games. According to a report by Polygon, "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy" games doesn't have a set release date but is expected to release some time in 2017.
