"Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 may see Sara Lance and Alex Danvers hook up. The show's executive producer Andrew Kreisberg wants to ship the gay characters together.
A nod to the Sara/Alex shippers was supposed to be in the "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 crossover episode, "Invasion." A scene was supposed to show Kara and Sara talk about Alex.
Kreisberg confirmed that Alex's name was mentioned after Sara asked Supergirl out for a drink. Instead of saying yes, Kara told Sara that she might want to ask her sister out instead. Kara specifically said, "I think you wanna meet my sister."
Unfortunately, this scene never came out in "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2, "Invasion." Kreisberg told TV Insider that it was not filmed. Nevertheless, he revealed that they had added that little exchange between Sara and Kara to ship Sara and Alex together. He thought that it would start the Sara/Alex shippers going.
Now, the question is whether Sara and Alex will ever hook up in "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2. The portal device that Cisco gave Supergirl might help pave a way for the two to meet. Kara can now easily cross Earths thanks to the device. Who knows she might bring her sister along next time she visits Earth 1.
Likewise, Sara Lance can easily go back and forth in time thanks to the Waverider. By some twist of fate or possibly another Dominator attack, Sara might find herself back in 2016 to help her superhero friends defeat the aliens.
Perhaps Sara Lance will meet Alex Danvers in a "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 and "Supergirl" crossover. Co-executive producer Marc Guggenheim previously confirmed that the Dominators will return to attack National City. This episode might see Sara Lance appear in Supergirl's Earth, not just to help fend off the aliens, but possibly also to meet Kara's sister Alex Danvers.
