Sigourney Weaver seems confident that the "Avatar" sequel will surpass the first film. The actress said she has read the scripts for the movie, and immediately concluded that the sequel will be more amazing.

"In my opinion, the three scripts I've read so far are many times more amazing than the first one in terms of their scope," Weaver told Variety, when asked for updates about the "Avatar" sequel.

Weaver did not reveal any further details about the movie. However, she assured that James Cameron will not disappoint the fans of the 2009 film with the "Avatar" sequel.

Details about the "Avatar" sequel has remained scarce since James has brought it up in past interviews. The film director confirmed the sequel is in the works several years back. The second film was supposed to be released in December 2014.

However, that did not happen. It was then pushed back to another release in December 2015. Then again, the "Avatar" sequel did not push through. The release dates were then push through several years until 2018.

Now, 20th Century Fox has announced the release for the "Avatar" sequel on Dec. 21, 2018. However, despite this confirmation James Cameron and casts have since remained mum about film details. Cameron reportedly wants to release all the sequels, until Part 4, together, like a TV series.

Regardless, it has been confirmed that the "Avatar" sequel will bring back the casts from the first film. Zoe Saldana will reprise princess Neytiri and Sam Worthington as Jake Sully. It remains unclear how the movie will bring Sigourney Weaver's character back to life, since she died in the first movie.
