The Microsoft Surface Phone will be one of a kind once it is expected to function as a device similar to a personal computer. This is the vision of Microsoft for its offering which fans expect to come out next year.

Unique offering

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella explained that the Windows 10 Mobile will make the Surface Phone stand out among the rest of the smartphones in the market. The chief executive highlighted that their plan for the Surface Phone is to be a mobile device with the functionalities of a personal computer.

Users will see a shift in the use of Windows 10 from personal computers and tablets to smartphones. They will be able to test how the Windows platform will be beneficial once it fits the palm of the hands.

Release date

Though fans are hoping it will come out next year, there is still no word from Microsoft about the release of the Microsoft Surface Phone. Nadella earlier said that they are working on an "ultimate mobile" device which fans expect could be the Surface Phone.

"We will continue to be in the phone market, not as defined by today's market leaders, but by what it is that we can uniquely do in what is the most ultimate mobile device," Nadella added. The Microsoft CEO noted that the company will make the device unique and useful.

Specs and features

The Microsoft Surface Phone is rumored to will come with a Snapdragon 835 processor which is a new introduction from Qualcomm. Also, the upcoming release will have two RAM options: one with 4GB of RAM and the other with a 6GB of RAM.

Price details

Earlier leaks have indicated that its screen size could be 5.5 inches and will come with accessories like a stylus and a keyboard. The initial cost of the device is pegged around $699 and could go up to $1,100.
