‘Total War: Warhammer’ DLC News & Update: Free Jade, Grey Wizards To Come With Realm Of The Wood Elves Expansion! Gameplay Details

With the "Total War: Warhammer" DLC fast approaching, now is probably the best time to join the strategy game. Developer Creative Assembly is particularly generous these days throwing in some free Jade and Grey Wizards along with the upcoming "Realm of the Wood Elves" expansion pack.

'Total War: Warhammer' Gameplay - Jade Wizard

When the "Total War: Warhammer" DLC arrives, players can enlist the Jade Wizard to their team. The Jade Wizard is said to be a member of The Jade Order and an adept at the Lore of Life Ghyran, reports the game's Steam page.

Essentially, one will have a powerful healer for free that is set to arrive with the "Total War: Warhammer" DLC release. The Jade Wizard is capable of a map-wide HP replenishment with the Lifebloom spell. On the other hand, the Flesh to Stone spell increases armour of targeted allies, Regrowth replenishes hp and increases resistance to targeted allies while Earth Blood increases hp in an area wide effect.

The upcoming "Total War: Warhammer" DLC will likewise show the offensive capabilities of the Jade Wizard. For instance, Awakening of The Wood deals magical damage to a large area and slows down enemies while The Dwellers Below deals severe damage vs multiple opponents and also reduces their speed. Another spell, Shield of Thorns, will buff the weapon damage of friendly units.

'Total War: Warhammer' Gameplay - Grey Wizard

The upcoming "Total War: Warhammer" DLC will also bring another new free unit, the Grey Wizard. Members of the College of the Grey Order, this wizards are particularly gifted in the ways of the Lore of Shadows, also known as Ulgu, which targets and affects the mind.

The new "Total War: Warhammer" unit can use offensive spells - the Penumbral Pendulum and the Pits of Shades. The former deals magical damages to multiple enemies while the latter also deals magical damage with the addition of disrupting its targets.

As a support, the Grey Wizard may boost the speed of all units in a map-wide effect with the spell Smoke and Mirrors. In addition, the Enfeebling Foe reduces melee attack and damage, Weathering reduces armor and leadership while Melkoth's Mystifying Miasma reduces speed of enemies, useful buffs that players may utilize with the arrival of the "Total War: Warhammer" DLC.
