'Pokemon Sun and Moon' Guide: How to Shiny Pokemon Chain Easily

Finding a Shiny Pokemon in "Pokemon Sun and Moon" is not really easy. It takes a lot of time and practice to figure out a strategy that increases encounter rate. Fortunately, many players in the game have already figured that out and this article will break down how it's done step by step.

First Step: Beat a Totem Pokemon

The first thing that a trainer needs to do is beat a Totem Pokemon in the game. There are several Totel Pokemon in "Pokemon Sun and Moon" so finding one wouldn't be too hard. In addition, beating these Pokemon is a part of the game's main story so players don't really need to go out of their way to encounter one.

Second Step: Start Hunting

Once a Totem Pokemon is beaten by the player, they can already start hunting for shiny Pokemon. Choose which shiny Pokemon they want and look for its nest. From there, start walking in circles in the area's tall grasses until a wild Pokemon comes up. It doesn't matter if it is the Pokemon they are looking for or not because there are also times when one Pokemon call upon another Pokemon.

Third Step: Do an SOS Battle

To encourage a wild Pokemon to call for help, drain its HP down to 1 and it should trigger the Pokemon to call for help. Most of the time, it will call one of its kind but there are instances when another Pokemon responds. This is also the time when players must use an Adrenaline Orb to encourage the Pokemon to call for help.

Fourth Step: Knock out the Incoming Pokemon Until A Shiny One Appears

Now this is the part where it gets hard. Depending on the player's luck, they will have to knock down every Pokemon that responds to the call of the first Pokemon until a shiny one appears. Some players claim it is likely to appear at the 30th Pokemon while some takes until the 55th before they find one.
