Sia, Keith Urban, And Flume Receive Nominations For Grammys, 'Cheap Thrills' May Prove To Be Lucky For Sia

The super famous Australian singer Sia Furler has been nominated for the 2017 Grammy Awards. Along with her, some other Australian artists have been nominated too. Guess who they are! Read on to know more the complete details.

Sia got nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album (This Is Acting), Best Pop Duo/Group (Cheap Thrills) and Best Song Written for Visual Media for Try Everything, a collaboration with Shakira for the animated hit Disney movie Zootopia. The 25 year old DJ musician and record producer Flume (real name Harley Streten) got nominated for Best Dance Recording for Never Be Like You and Best Dance/Electronic Album for Skin where as Keith Urban got nominated for three country Grammys. On his selection as a nominee for the Grammys, he said, "I'm totally blown away with these nominations. Making RIPCORD was really a collaborative labor of love both for the music and all the people that helped me bring my vision to life. I'll stay up anytime to hear news like this..just not sure of how to get to sleep now!!".

Well,  getting nominated for Grammys is a big achievement too. The Australian artists are doing great in the field of music. This can be justified by the nominations bagged by them that are mentioned above. Sia lost the Grammy five times but this year due to the big success of "Cheap Thrills" she is expected to win the first one. Her songs rocked the year 2016 and a lot of chances are there that she is going to win her first Grammy this time.

Apart from this, Beyonce became the most nominated singer for 2017 Grammy Awards as she received nine nominations, whereas Kanye Drake and Rihanna were left behind Beyonce as they got eight nominations each. The Grammy awards will be held in Los Angeles on February 12, 2017.
