"House of Cards" is undoubtedly one of the most popular political drama  but some reports are suggesting that if the show continues with the Clinton era politics it will soon lose its charm. The House of Cards Season 5 will be aired in 2017 and fans are expecting a reflection of real life politics in it.

"House of Cards" Season 5 will have an unexpected twist in the plot. It has been speculated that Franks wife Clair may plot to kill her husband. More shocking point is that she might get assistance from Doug Stamper in her mission.

However, people might not find any charm in these twists and turns as real life politics has become more interesting than the TV show. The Trump- Clinton election campaign and subsequent win of Donald trump are more shocking for most of the people. Reports suggested that an outsider with unconventional political methods is in the oval office and the show has to have an equally interesting plot to survive such a real-life political twist.

According to iDigital Times, people would still watch "House of Cards" Season 5 in 2017 but the political plot of the series seems antiquated now for many. Obviously, fans expect a change. Nevertheless, Kevin Spacey has stated in an interview that the resemblance between the show and real life politics is coincidental. Michael Kelly also emphasized the same point in one of his interviews.

"I mean, it's pretty wild. You know, always keeping in mind that our show is a drama, but yet somehow, even though this is written a year in advance of anyone seeing it, that we somehow manage to coincide with real political events that happen after we make the show," Inquisitr quoted Michael Kelly who plays Doug Stamper in the show.

Whatever the cast of "House of Cards" say about the show's resemblance to real politics, one fact is undeniable that it resembles real-life politics and presently the US politics has taken an extremely interesting turn and  this might help in bringing an unconventional twist to the show.
