‘Transformers: The Last Knight' Spoilers: Bumblebee Does Not Die

The first full trailer for "Transformers: The Last Knight" teased the death of Bumblebee in the hands of Optimus Prime. However, knowing that the loveable Autobot has a spinoff movie, it could be unlikely that he dies in the sequel.

Talks about a Bumblebee spinoff movie first came out earlier this year. The solo film will finally happen, according to "Transformers" producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura. He recently confirmed that the events in "Transformers: The Last Knight" relates to the spinoff.

Bonaventura said that the Bumblebee spinoff film will be interrelated to "Transformers: The Last Knight." There are scenes or events in the movie that will relate to the solo movie. Some have a direct relationship to the Bumblebee film.

"So there's probably, in a really meaningful way, two or three things in this movie that really have a meaningful aspect...and then there's a bunch of little things," Bonaventura said as quoted by Collider.

Simply put, "Transformers: The Last Knight" could set up the Bumblebee spinoff movie. Given this knowledge, it is safe to assume that the yellow Autobot does not die in the sequel. Fans worried that he could die in the movie as teased in the trailer for the Michael Bay movie.

The "Transformers: The Last Knight" trailer saw Optimus Prime kill Bumblebee. The leader of the Autobots seemed to have turned into a villain in the movie. At some point, he even fought with Bumblebee.

Meanwhile, Bonaventura did not reveal any more details about the Bumblebee spinoff film. He estimated that the film will be out sometime in 2018. The solo movie though is still in the first stages of planning. Christina Hodson ("Shut In") has been hired to write the script. The movie might see some of the other Transformers , but it will mainly focus on Bumblebee.
