Instagram App Update Release Date News: Photo Application Now Has Disable Photo Comments Feature

Instagram is one of the photo applications that is being widely downloaded by a lot of users. The application caters to users who are keen on posting creative and even leisure photos along with photo captions.

In the recent months, the Facebook-owned application has finally stated that they will be including updates that will combat abuse. Users usually complain about hurtful comments that are being posted on their pictures especially in celebrity accounts where bashers usually camp out. In light with this, Instagram has started to block certain words from comments, and now Instagram is adding a host of tools that will keep trolls away from your posts.

According to the CEO, Kevin Systrom, in a blog post about the news - "Finally, we want to continue to be a place where people can share deeply personal moments. From time to time, you may see friends struggling and in need of support. If you believe that someone you care about may be thinking about injuring themselves, you can report it anonymously, and we will connect your friend to organizations that offer help. We have teams working 24 hours a day, seven days a week, around the world to review these reports." With this post, it is clear that Instagram is firm in protecting its users and not allowing the application to be a platform for bullying and trolling.

Instagram users will now have the option to "turn off commenting" in the application settings. Private accounts will also be able to remove followers that they no longer want to access their accounts without completely blocking them. Aside from that, the application will also roll out the users' ability to "like" comments on their posts which will be displayed beside the comment.

There is no news as to when these updates will begin in iOS and Android devices, but it is reported that they will be available "in the coming weeks." Instagram is available for free on iOS and Android in the App Store and Google PlayStore respectively.
