WWE Rumors: Chris Jericho leaving after WrestleMania 33 to record new Fozzy album

Chris Jericho is having one of the best runs of his WWE career but it might be coming to an end next year. According to the latest rumors, Jericho will take a break from wrestling after WrestleMania 33 to record a new album with his bond Fozzy.

The 46-year-old returned to the WWE in January and he was only slated to work for four months. However, the success of his character led to an extension until July, then in October and now towards next year.

Jericho is scheduled to face Seth Rollins at Roadblock: End of the Line but the talk of the town is his deteriorating friendship with Kevin Owens. In the past two weeks, the two best friends are not on the same page for the first time in months.

According to Ringside News, Y2J is set to leave WWE shortly after WrestleMania 33. Fozzy's tour apparently starts in late April at the Welcome to Rockville Festival in Jacksonville, Florida. It goes on until May before the band records a new album under Century Media.

There is still no official word about the plans for Chris Jericho at WrestleMania 33. However, Rollins has already called out Triple H which means his feud with Jericho is ending soon. As recapped by WWE.com, Jericho and Owens continue their war of words that will surely lead to a breakup.

Jericho vs. Owens for the WWE Universal title is a great story for early next year. But the WWE will not give Y2J a title run knowing that he is out after WrestleMania 33. Nevertheless, Jericho deserves one more championship as he has proven this year that he is indeed one of the greatest ever.

Some of the names being thrown as a possible opponent for Chris Jericho at WrestleMania include Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura. However, those are all just purely speculative but fans should savor every minute they see Jericho since he will surely leave in April.
