iPhone 8 Release Date, News & Update: Only One Variant Coming? iPhone 7s Debuting With Refreshed Specs & Features! More Details

The ongoing debate right now is whether an iPhone 7s will come out in 2017. Aside from that, how many iPhone 8 variants are there to expect?

It is believed that there are three iPhone variants coming in 2017 though detail have been sketchy. Some believe that there will be three iPhone 8 models coming. Now, some are claiming that there will be a lone iPhone 8, an iPhone 7s and an iPhone 7s Plus. So which is which?

Some may have a hard time believing that only one iPhone 8 will be coming. Touted to be the big refresh on Apple’s end, most are expecting a OLED and revamped design device available in three models. However, the Cupertino company has made it a point to come out with an “S” model, and it does seem strange that no iPhone 7s has been hyped to date. Ideally this would come before Apple’s next big flagship, regardless if the specs are no eye-popping.

The latest dish is that the iPhone 8 will debut solo alongside an iPhone 7s and 7s Plus. While the iPhone 8 is believed to be the transition to a new design for Apple, the iPhone 7s variants may come with a bit of an upgrade. Leading the potential specs of the iPhone 7s include an upgrade to an A11 chip and two additional colors – red and allegedly jet white –, Mac Otakara reported. The iPhone 7s will still come in 4.7- and 5-inch display sizes.

With regards to the iPhone 8, most of the possible specs were already covered in a previous post. This includes an all-glass housing, edge-to-edge AMOLED display and a virtual home button in lieu of the usual physical home button.

Aside from those, the iPhone 8 is expected to be thinner and come without the 3.5 mm jack. That feature was taken out of the iPhone 7 and such is expected when it debuts in 2017.
