‘Lucifer' Season 2 Midseason Spoilers: Casting News Teases A Family Reunion for Lucifer, Charlotte, Amenadiel

Recent casting news for "Lucifer" Season 2 teases a family reunion for the devil, Charlotte and Amenadiel. God will make his debut in one of the upcoming midseason episodes.

 According to TV Line, the producers for the Fox series are looking to cast God in the series. The character will be introduced as a man named God Johnson. He is a patient at a psychiatric hospital, who believes that he is God.

According to spoilers for "Lucifer" Season 2, Lucifer Morningstar does not immediately believe that God Johnson is his father. However, the man will eventually reveal information about the devil that might prove his identity.

"Lucifer tries to prove him a phony, but he comes to find out that 'God Johnson' seems to know things that only Lucifer's true father would know," read the report from TV Line.

This casting news comes after series creator Joe Henderson previously said that the show has no plans to cast God in "Lucifer" Season 2. At that time, the showrunner said that Lucifer's mother Charlotte was far more important to bring to the series than Lucifer's father.

Perhaps the midseason finale of "Lucifer" Season 2 calls for an appearance of the God Almighty. The season ended with Charlotte finally discovering what makes Chloe Decker so special to her son. The detective is a miracle baby. She is a gift from God to a couple who was unable to bear a child.

Charlotte will use this knowledge to her advantage going into the midseason episodes of "Lucifer" Season 2. She will use Charlotte as key to bring her back to Heaven. She thinks that Charlotte can help Amenadiel gain his powers back and help them enter the Silver City.

However, Charlotte and Amenadiel may not need to go back to Heaven after all, with God making an appearance in one of the midseason episodes in "Lucifer" Season 2. They can have their little family reunion On Earth.
