Academy Awards News And Updates: Tom Hanks' Performance In "Sully" Gets Recongnized

The Academy Award winner Tom Hanks acted in the movie "Sully", which was released not long ago. Critics claimed it to be a good one. The biggest news about the movie is that The New York Times named Hank's performance as one of the best performances of the year. Well there is no doubt that Hanks is one of the best actors on the planet Earth.

The simplicity in his acting has the capability of catching the audience's attention. He displays the role given to him so intensely that it comes alive. He seems so real even while acting. Tom Hanks is one of the most loved actors as he did the all time famous movies like "Forrest Gump", "Saving Private Ryan",  "Castaway" etc.  In the past too he has done movies that were based on the topics of history. Rotten Tomatoes rated "Sully" 89% where as Imdb gave it a rating of 7.6/10.

The story of "Sully" revolved around Chesley Sullenberger, an American pilot who became a hero after landing his damaged plane on the Hudson River in order to save the flight's passengers and crew."Sully" was directed by Clint Eastwood. The best scene of the movie is said to be the one in which the plane is landed on the water. The details shown in this scene involving the landing are said to be very attention catching. It fills the spectators with excitement and thrill. According to the movie makers the scene was very difficult to shoot. 

The movie was written by Todd Komarnicki and is based on the autobiography Highest Duty by Chesley Sullenberger and Jeffrey Zaslow. "Sully" recorded the biggest debut for Clint Eastwood's career (both as an actor and a director) in North America. Well let us see how much success "Sully" brings for Tom Hanks and how much awards he will be getting for his performance in the movie.
