New Achievements / Trophies Hint at What Batman: Arkham Origins' Initiation DLC Offers [VIDEO]

Achievements / Trophies for Batman: Arkham Origins' Initiation DLC Surface

Origins may have given gamers the caped crusader's first fight against many of the standouts of his rogues gallery, but the Initiation DLC that drops tomorrow is going back even further in Batman's history, showing exactly what Bruce had to do in order to undergo his transformation from mere man to a symbol.

Trophies / achievements from the DLC have surfaced, offering a sneak peek at what players will be up to. There's only two new trophies / achievements, but have a look at them below, courtesy of Xbox 360 Achievements:

Bruce's Revenge - Obtain all 72 medals on the original Arkham Origins ranked maps (as Bruce Wayne)
Campaign Ninja - Obtain all 108 medals on the original Arkham Origins campaigns (as Bruce Wayne)

It can't be said for certain, but if players are playing strictly as Bruce Wayne, my assumption is that he may not have access to all of Batman's wonderful toys, if any, upping the challenge. We'll wait until tomorrow when the DLC drops.

Here's Warner Bros. Motral's official synopsis of the DLC:

"Set high in the Paektu-San Mountains of North Korea, the Initiation Add-On follows a young Bruce Wayne as he faces his ultimate test. Players will embark upon a series of challenge maps that test their martial arts training across exotic locales, including a bamboo forest and a mountain top monastery. Fans will face fresh enemies along with an epic final test to prove their worthiness to Bruce's greatest and most pitiless teacher, Kirigi."

The DLC is free to Season Pass holders, which is still available for $19.99. Beyond Initiation, the pass grants access to four other DLC packs:

- Gotham by Gaslight Batman Skin and Brightest Day Batman Skin
- New Millennium Skins Pack
- Infinite Earths Skins Pack
- An all-new story campaign

There's also a new trailer for Initiation, which you can check out below.

Batman: Arkham Origins stars a younger, not as experienced Batman we've seen in past Arkham games, and has the criminal Black Mask offering a boatload of cash to whoever can kill the caped crusader. Confirmed classic characters include Penguin, Lady Shiva, Deadshot, Deathstroke, Scarecrow, Bane, Copperhead, Mad Hatter, Killer Croc, Firefly, the Joker, Anarky, and others.

Batman is armed with more than just his grapnel gun and batarangs. He's actually carrying a few new toys thrown in for good measure, all to help him pummel thugs throughout a Gotham city that's almost double the size of the one seen in Arkham City.

Origins is out now for PC, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and Xbox 360. A follow up, Batman: Arkham Origins - Blackgate, is also available for the 3DS and PS Vita, developed by Armature Studio.
