Xbox Project Scorpio at Console Price-Point, Games With Gold December & Backwards Compatible Updates Revealed, More Details Here!

There have been speculations on the cost of Xbox Project Scorpio since Microsoft revealed it at E3. Xbox division Chief Phil Spencer said that he sees the console as a premium product and a huge leap from the current HDR and 4K ready Xbox One S.

Spencer's comments made fans believe that the price of Xbox Project Scorpio should be closer to the high-end gaming PC contrary to the standard £300-400 price when most consoles are released. It was reported earlier that Spencer wants the Xbox Project Scorpio at a console price-point and not of a gaming PC.

"I want Scorpio to be at a console price-point, I'm not trying to go and compete with a high-end rig," he told AusGamers. Because of this, fans are hoping they don't have to spend over £400 on Xbox Project Scorpio.

On the other hand, community manager Larry Hryb announced that Xbox 360 classics can now be played on Xbox One as well as through the Xbox store. These are "Space Ark," "Shadowrun" and "Shotest Shogi." According to Daily Star, six new games have been added as well such as "Medal Of Honor Airborne," "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion," "Astropop," "Trine 2," "Haunted House" and "Injustice: Gods Among Us," which make Xbox One include a total of 301 backwards compatible games.

"Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition" and "Outlast" were also made available on Xbox One in addition to the Games with Gold December 2016 update. "Outland" and "Burnout Paradise" are also available on Xbox 360 although two of these will be only available for two more days as they will be changed for a new selection.

These four games become available for download on Xbox One with the two Xbox 360 games that are part of the consoles' Backwards Compatibility program: "Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition" can be downloaded on Xbox One Dec. 1 - 31, "Outlast" on Xbox One on Dec. 16 until Jan. 15, "Outland" on Xbox 360 and Xbox One on on Dec. 1 - 15 and "Burnout Paradise" on Dec. 16 - 31 on Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
