More than five years in the making, "The Winds of Winter" has been assured by George R.R Martin only to fail to meet numerous deadlines. To keep fans in touch with his book, he releases teaser chapters to the public to give a brief updates on what to expect once the final print of the book finally becomes available nationwide.

"The Winds of Winter" is George R.R. Martin's sixth book in the successful "A Song of Ice and Fire" series that brought to life the hit HBO drama series "A Game of Thrones." Martin discusses the release of the sixth book as well as giving insights on what the much-awaited book will be based on.

"The Winds of Winter" will feature grim business. There are many dark chapters included in the book, winter is the time for things to die," as stated by George R.R Martin in Guadalajara International Book Conference. He also claimed that there are many dark chapters involved inside the book.

He confesses to the fans not to expect any positive events in "The Winds of Winter," adding cryptically some of the characters are in very dark places. This might mean many more of the remaining major characters will face death. "It is a classic structure that things get worse before turning better," as George R.R Martin added in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

"The Winds of Winter" is ready to finalize or just about to be finished and predicted to be released by either March or April 2017. To sum things up, George R.R Martin also lectured about the series conclusion about the "A Dream of Spring," his seventh book.

George R.R Martin's "The Winds of Winter" was previously rumored that the novel might be canceled since he misplaced the manuscript for "The Winds of Winter." Still, George R.R Martin mentioned that the book would bare more to a bittersweet finale.
