'The Royals' Season 3 Episode 2 Recap: King Cyrus Admits Having Testicular Cancer In Bid To Get Throne; Eleanor Works To Convince Jasper To Be Exclusive

Season 3 Episode 2 of "The Royals" was about the pursuit of love that no matter how pure the concept is, circumstances would complicate things. In "Passing Through Nature to Eternity," two tales of love are yet to be told: one is interrupted, the other is confused.

The second episode had Prince Robert, portrayed by Max Brown, still stuck on a deserted island and has been having hallucinations about a blond woman who has a tattoo and who later turned out to be Catherine. It was disclosed later that Catherine, played by Christina Wolfe, is also Prince Liam's current apple of the eye.

"The Royals" also had the throne rivalry taken to another level with King Cyrus taking the matters into his own hands by making an announcement via television show that he has testicular cancer. But Queen Helena, who on this TV series, is given life by Elizabeth Hurley, did not back down. She convinced James Hill to have King Cyrus, played by Jake Maskall, lure the latter to go out from his room so the queen can take sample of the king's DNA.

Meanwhile, Prince Liam, whose character is performed by William Moseley, has already been smitten by Catherine, but at the same time, grieving from Ted Pryce's death. He could not just simply love the girlfriend of a deceased brother. His grief was noticed by Eleanor, played by Alexandra Park, who persuaded to go with her to EDC Festival.

But Eleanor has something more on her mind. She wanted to make Jasper, whose role was played by Tom Austen, jealous and perhaps, make him go exclusive with her. On this part of "The Royals" episode, the scene got hilarious with her lines.

"He thinks that he can have the cow and still drink from its treats," Eleanor told Prince Liam, "I need to teach him a lesson, so you have to come with me," she continued convincingly.

So at the musical festival, Eleanor has been flirting with almost every guy, and Jasper was furious. Prince Liam was not in a party-mood and Queen Helena got what she wanted for DNA sampling. Eleanor had a chit-chat with her brother to cheer him up and Prince Liam confessed, saying he has been asking himself whether he was good lately.

But Eleanor, being the character that she is on "The Royals," told her brother to prioritize himself this time and there is nothing wrong with being happy and wanting someone who could make his heart race. She also volunteered some information about her romance with Jasper: she wanted to go exclusive with him but she felt not good enough.

When Eleanor and Jasper finally had time to talk, Jasper admitted to being jealous and to his desire of being with her, but his dark past is keeping him from doing so. Eleanor brought Jasper to the library and told him about a story of a young queen. She picked the book and quipped as she handed it to Jasper that she had always longed for someone to write her some love letters.

"The Royals" episode 3 airs on December 18, 2017.
