'Stranger Things' Season 2 Release Date, News & Update: Eleven Returns to Take Back the Spotlight? Did Eleven Get Transferred to Another Dimension?

A new character named Max has been cast to join "Stranger Things" season 2 and some fans aren't so happy. Apparently, most fans still want to know what's up with Eleven. Recent reports suggest that despite the uncertainty of Eleven's fate in the series, she will still be featured in the upcoming installment.

The previous installment of "Stranger Things" left numerous questions unanswered. One of the biggest cliffhangers that fans are expecting to be clarified in "Stranger Things" season 2 is Eleven's (Millie Bobby Brown) fate.

Fans went ballistic when "Stranger Things" season 2 announced the arrival of Max, to be played by Sadie Sink. She seems to share similar traits with Eleven and fans are not pleased about it. It was earlier speculated that Eleven has been replaced by Max. However, new reports say otherwise.

According to the latest buzz revolving around the "Stranger Things" season 2 release, Eleven will make an unexpected comeback. She will allegedly grab the spotlight back from Max, who is believed to be the psychokinetic girl's replacement. If this happens, fans can expect a thrilling ride in the upcoming season.

The previous installment saw Eleven going down to the place where Will (Noah Schnapp) has been trapped. Eleven has not returned yet and fans have expressed concern about her potential departure from the hit series earlier. On the other hand, recent rumors point to her return for "Stranger Things" season 2 to retain her place as one of the core characters.

Meanwhile, some fans speculate that Eleven did not die while supposedly killing the monster. Instead, she may have been transferred to another dimension. The details about her disappearance are expected to be explained in "Stranger Things" season 2.

Eleven is the lucky number for "Stranger Things" season 2 and critics believe that if she is killed off, there will be fewer viewers interested in watching the upcoming installment. Netflix has yet to make the official announcement, though.

"Stranger Things" season 2 is slated for release sometime 2017 on Netflix. Stay tuned for more news and spoilers on the Matt and Ross Duffer creation.
