‘Blindspot' Season 2 Spoilers, Cast Update: Nas' Background Story Revealed

"Blindspot" Season 2 will explore Nas' background story. A new character arrives who will shed light on her life story.

Series creator Martin Gero recently teased a bit of spoilers for "Blindspot" Season 2. The showrunner said that fans will know more about Nas when the show returns on Jan. 4. He said that a new character comes to shed some light on her background story.

"We're introducing a new character who I don't want to the say the name of just yet, but that will help illuminate some of Nas' background," Gero told Entertainment Weekly.

It remains unknown who this new character is. Perhaps she is someone important to Nas, a family member maybe. So far, fans have yet to know if she has any family or relatives. "Blindspot" Season 2 started without any background story reveal for Nas.

Likewise, perhaps this new character in "Blindspot" Season 2 is a former colleague. This person would likely explain why Nas is so bent on capturing Sandstorm. Nas once told Patterson and Jane that she had devoted her life and career to tracking the covert organization. Perhaps Sandstorm means a lot to Nas in a personal level.

Meanwhile, fans can only guess that this person who will reveal Nas' background story is a former romantic interest. His return would could likely put a barrier between Nas and Kurt Weller's relationship. This character's arrival would also be timely, given what Martin Gero teased previously about Kurt and Jane's reunion in "Blindspot" Season 2.

Gero previously revealed that going into the second half of "Blindspot" Season 2, Jane and Kurt will start to work closely together again. The showrunner teased that this will eventually rekindle long-buried feelings they have for each other. If this happens, Nas would have to step aside and let Kurt be with the person he truly cares the most.
