Also, those who haven't played the game before or have no access to save data can very well tailor their story for Season 3.
Following the recent trailer release for "The Walking Dead: A New Frontier," Telltale Game has confirmed to Eurogamer that a tailored backstory is possible if you can't find your original save. To those who have a Season2 save file, importing your save on the same device can be done in a push of a button. Upon starting Season 3, a prompt will ask you if you want to import your Season 2 save.

If your Season 2 save file is on an older device and you would want to import it to a new console, access to your older device is needed. Playing "The Walking Dead: A New Frontier" on a newer device entails one to create a Telltale Account on Telltale Cloud Saves and upload it there. once you launch Season 3, download the Cloud Save and as Telltale puts it, "you're good to go!"

"Fresh players can head straight to a new story," Telltale wrote on Twitter. "S1/S2 players will have multiple save import options. More details on that soon!" The developer also confirmed that support will be coming to those who changed their consoles and still would want to play "The Walking Dead: A New Frontier."
"The Walking Dead: A New Frontier" features Clementine, now a teenager, who is joined by a new character named Javier. The new playable character will offer a fresh starting point for new players. More details on import save are available on the game's Reddit account.
