Nintendo NES Classic Edition Latest News & Update: Fans Waiting for Best Buy, ThinkGeek & Smyths to Give the Good News

The Nintendo NES Classic Edition could be re-stocked real soon, which means there is still hope for those before Christmas who desperately want to get their hands on it. Two retail stores will be offering the insanely in-demand console. Lack of the console in the US has become common and some countries are faring better.

Limited stocks of the Nintendo NES Classic Edition will be available with ThinkGeek on Dec. 20. Customers who have sign up with the company earlier will be favored. ThinkGeek will choose the lucky ones who will be offered the console. In fact, the website accepted reservations from Dec. 7 till Dec. 12. Customers were then asked to save the item on their Wish List.

Those who signed up for the Nintendo NES Classic Edition were sent the codes via email. They had 24 hours to use the code to get a chance to buy the console. Best Buy will also be offering limited console units at the company's three retail stores on Dec. 20 on a first-cum-first-serve basis.

Thankfully, Nintendo America's Reggie Fils-Aime earlier assured fans that "consumers will be able to get their hands on" the Nintendo NES Classic Edition before Christmas, reported Forbes. Apart from Best Buy and ThinkGeek, there is a chance that Smyths, Amazon and Target will also restock the console. Smyths has already hinted that the stock is already on the way.

Argos has informed customers that there are no plans to restock the Nintendo NES Classic Edition and that they have discontinued selling the device. Fans are still hoping that Amazon may be able to fulfil their wish of possessing the console. Target is now focusing on its Australian fans.

With barely few days left for Christmas, Nintendo fans are going absolutely crazy to buy the Nintendo NES Classic Edition. Hopefully they will have a smile on their faces on or before Christmas.
