WWE Smackdown Results, Highlights – Smackdown Women’s Championship: Alexa Bliss vs. Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch won her WWE Smackdown Women's Championship match on Tuesday, but Alexa Bliss still had the last laugh. In a surprised championship match booked by Smackdown Commissioner Shane McMahon, Bliss managed to keep the belt by faking an injury and allowing the referee to count her out.

Bliss, who captured the Smackdown women's title after power bombing Lynch through the table at WWE TLC 2016, was originally scheduled to wrestle local talent Deonna Purrazzo, whom the champ called the female version of James Ellsworth.

Bliss thinks 'Jane Ellsworth' didn't deserve a wrestling match with her so she proceeded on beating her up. Out comes Lynch who once again challenged Bliss for a rematch. The champion of course refused, but Shane O'Mac came out and arranged a championship match in Washington D.C.

Marc Middleton provides blow-by-blow commentary on the short yet entertaining title match:

Back and forth until Becky takes control. Becky unloads but Bliss blocks the Bexploder suplex. Bliss gets out of a submission and goes to the floor for a breather. Becky follows and nails her. Becky with another forearm to drop Bliss. Becky rolls Bliss back in but she retreats out the other side. Bliss sells a knee injury and fans boo her. The referee counts. Bliss keeps walking and gets counted out but retains.

Here are the highlights for WWE Smackdown Women's Championship match.
