Netflix should not have decided on the "Marco Polo" cancellation, because the series is one of the best shows in Netflix.


However, there are also those who thought that the show did not deserve a renewal. They found the boring while others thought it did not draw the audience. Other viewers thought the “Marco Polo” cancellation was a good move for Netflix.

"I really wanted to like it but after two episodes I abandoned ship. Its not that it was bad . Its just that there wasn't enough to keep me watching," one of the viewers named Ally Oop commented on TV Line's report about the "Marco Polo" cancellation.

Netflix cancelled the show after several speculations that Season 3 will not happen. There have been previous rumored reasons why the network decided to cancel it. Benedict Wong's exit as Kublai Khan came on top followed by speculations that production on the series demands a lot of money.

Financially speaking, the "Marco Polo" cancellation was deemed a necessary move for Netflix. According to Collider, the network lost around $200 million on the show. This is probably why it was not renewed.

Regardless, the show had a good run for two seasons. Fans enjoyed watching Kublai Khan and Marco Polo's adventures on TV. Series creator John Fusco expressed his gratitude to the fans and to the casts and crew for the wonderful journey.
