Andrew Garfield has once again praised Tom Holland for his portrayal of "Spider-Man." The actor also complimented the first "Spider-Man: Homecoming" trailer.
Andrew Garfield only has good words to say about the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" trailer and the movie's lead Tom Holland. The actor gave an honest opinion on the trailer in a recent interview with Entertainment Online.
"I watched it and it's great! I think it looks great," Garfield said.
Garfield, who also portrayed Spider-Man in two film franchises under Sony, expressed his excitement to watch the reboot. Now that he has seen the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" trailer, Garfield admitted that he cannot wait to see it come out in theaters.
In the same interview with Entertainment Online, Andrew Garfield also praised Tom Holland. He revealed that he is a big fan of the young star and of his character. He also admitted that he cannot wait to see Holland portray Peter Parker aka Spider-Man.
This is not the first time Garfield has rained compliments on the young actor. He also congratulated Holland after Marvel and Sony confirmed that the 19-year old will play the titular role in "Spider-Man: Homecoming." Garfield praised Holland for his acting skills and agreed that the role suits him, because he is a gymnast. He can easily perform somersaults when needed.
It seems there is no hard feelings for Andrew Garfield that Sony did not ask him to reprise the role. The "Hacksaw Ridge" actor portrayed the character before in the 2012 film "The Amazing Spider-Man" and in the sequel, "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," in 2014. Garfield reportedly did not get the role back, because of his conflict with Sony.
Meanwhile, the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" movie will be the first among two franchises. Sony and Marvel recently confirmed the sequel, which is due for release in July 2019. Tom Holland will still portray Peter Parker aka Spider-Man.
