Microsoft Surface Phone 2017 Release Date, News & Update: Microsoft Bringing Two Great Features! More Specs & Price Details Revealed

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella recently mentioned a unique and ultimate mobile device and everybody believes it is the highly-anticipated Microsoft Surface Phone 2017. While Nadella has refused to divulge any detail about the smartphone, rumor mills are running full force, speculating wildly about the specs and features the phone may come with.

The most talked about feature of the Microsoft Surface Phone 2017 is undoubtedly the Continuum mode that will turn the phone into a full-fledged Windows PC and the Surface Pen that everybody wants for a more interactive display. Along with an enhanced user experience, the Surface Pen will also allow for eventual Surface Phone added interface options.

A circular port at the right side of the Microsoft Surface Phone 2017 will host the Pen. According to Express, the Surface Pen was first launched in 2015 along with the Surface Pro 3 and it allows users to write, draw and interact with the display in a number of ways. The other feature, the Continuum mode, uses Windows 10 universal apps and Qualcomm chipsets to scale from a phone screen up to a monitor.

Multiple reports have claimed that the Microsoft Surface Phone 2017 will run on the Windows 10 operating system. It will be powered by ARM chipsets and a minimum 3,000 mAh battery. The Surface Phone could sport a 5.7/5.8-inch display, 20MP primary camera with Carl Zeiss lens and a built-in QWERTY keyboard.

The Microsoft Surface Phone 2017 may come in three variants. The 32GB internal storage variant could have a 3GB RAM, the 128GB internal storage variant could sport a 6GB RAM and the 500GB variant, 8GB RAM. The Continuum mode will be of special interest to business professionals as it will allow the Surface Phone to connect to an external keyboard, display and mouse to run full desktop applications like Adobe Photoshop or Office 2016.
