‘Vikings' Season 4 Episode 14 Spoilers: What Happens to Ivar & Ragnar in Wessex? Alex Høgh Andersen Spills Details

"Vikings" Season 4 Episode 14 will see Ivar the Boneless and Ragnar Lothbrok enter Wessex. What happens in the Royal Villa is something that Alex Høgh Andersen calls "outstanding" for a father and son moment.

"Vikings" Season 4 Episode 13 saw Ivar the Boneless and Ragnar Lothbrok courageously attempt to enter the Royal Villa in Wessex. Ragnar told his son to be himself, meaning act as a cripple, to throw off their bad intentions. Ragnar wanted that they do not appear threatening to the men at the gates. Father and son approach the gates weaponless and defenseless.

What happens afterward will be revealed in "Vikings" Season 4 Episode 14, "In the Uncertain Hour Before the Morning." The trailer for the Dec. 21 episode showed Ragnar Lothbrok and Ivar the Boneless are taken as captives. Ragnar is placed in a cage. However, he is set free after he agrees to a business deal with King Ecbert.

What happens after Ragnar is set free remains unknown. However, Alex Høgh Andersen said "Vikings" Season 4 Episode 14 is a significant moment for Ragnar and Ivar.

"It's just a father and a son trying to pick up the pieces that they've lost and put them back together to become what they are: father and son. It was outstanding to shoot and I think it's going to be outstanding to look at as well," Andersen, who plays Ivar, told TV Guide.

In the same interview, Andersen said that Ivar the Boneless' journey with Ragnar Lothbrok has taught Ivar to be brave and independent. He learned to accept his disability and used it as his strength. His experiences with his father taught him how to be a better Viking leader. Beginning with "Vikings" Season 4 Episode 14 and going into the succeeding episodes, viewers will see a stronger and manipulative Ivar.
