'The Voice' Season 11 Latest News & Updates: Jason 'Sundance' Head Skeptical That He Would Win

Jason "Sundance" Head finally became "The Voice" champion after last night's finale of "The Voice" Season 11. Music lovers and fans of the singer-songwriter couldn't be happier.

Making a noise from the beginning

Just as focus on Jason Head being able to "finally sing the way (he) wanted to" gave the former child star more attention than ever and probably paved the way for a comeback, it was still the former "American Idol" sixth season 13th placer who reigned.

We saw how the 37-year-old Texan delivered his memorable version of Miley Cyrus' "The Climb", Alicia Keys' "No One" and his very own rock/blues ballad "Darlin' Don't Go." Head wrote this masterpiece for his wife Misty during a turbulent time in their marriage. The song is currently at iTunes' no. 1 hits.

Even though only Adam Levine and Blake Shelton turned for him on the blind auditions, Jason Head didn't disappoint his coach, Shelton, as he connected with country fans week after week. The second placer, Billy Gilman, was the one Head was expecting to win due to what he believed was a stronger media presence.

What's next for Jason Head

Every time someone wins "The Voice" a record label gives them a contract. If this pans out, as sometimes it doesn't, we are hoping that Head's career would be a lot different from many of the other past winners. We're all aware of the luster that usually fades right after a singing artist wins.

Right now, Jason Head wants than to sit back, take it easy for a while and share his win with singer-father Roy Head, Misty and their kids. Anyway he did say that if the only reward would be is just to play with KISS then it's fine.
