One of the most memorable movies in 2016 that touched the hearts of both young and old is the Disney movie Moana. Former WWE Wrestler Dwayne 'the Rock' Johnson sings his heart out as he plays a major character in this hit movie.

Moana is a story of a girl torn between her own destiny and her own responsibilities to her people. Moana is the daughter of the village chief of Motunui, an island inhabited by a Polynesian tribe. A certain legend about how their island came to be seemed more real as natural catastrophes and plagues start destroying their livelihood and threatening their existence. In the legend, the demigod Maui, stole the heart of Te Fiti (an island goddess) thus resulting to the different plagues. The best way to restore and save her village is to locate Maui and let him return the heart back to Te Fiti. With her adventures, Moana finds out what her calling is and knows herself more in this Disney movie of self-discovery. The Rock plays demigod Maui and surprises the audience as he sings during the introduction of his character.

When Moana discovers Maui, who is trapped in an island, she finds out there is more than what the legend talks about. The Rock sings the very fun and catchy 'You're Welcome' song of this tropical Disney Movie. Even the directors were struck with awe at his performance. Dwayne 'the Rock' Johnson gave it his best during this performance.

Maui has more or less the same characteristics as the Rock. He's charismatic and funny. Perhaps this is the reason why the directors chose Dwayne 'the Rock' Johnson to star in Moana. For all intents and purposes, "You're Welcome" is not the only catchy song in the Disney movie. Lin Manuel Miranda co-wrote and composed most of the songs in the movie. To experience the goosebumps these songs gave you, go and watch the movie and listen as the Rock sings his heart out.
