‘Overwatch’ Mei’s Legendary Skin A Disappointment: Fans Believe Blizzard Hates Mei

'Overwatch' received an update regarding its character Mei. The big Winter Wonderland update is expected to give the adventurer Mei special attention both from Blizzard and fans. However, it happened in a negative way.

Blizzard Entertainment's 'Overwatch' is among the top searched video games this 2016, so a significant number of gamers expects something special for the character Mei. But to the disappointment of many, they felt that Mei's skin or costume is not as "legendary" as they claim it is. To make things worse, the said skin amounts to 3,000 credits.

But what are these "legendary skins" in 'Overwatch'? These can be found at random in special event loot boxes. But for those who wants to have the skin without too much hassle, they can simply purchase the skin for a big price that seems to be not worth it according to many.

What could be the possible reason as to why fans are dismayed with the latest update? It is because the holiday look is almost the same as the usual one, only changing the color and adding up the Santa hat.

For some 'Overwatch' players, they believe that "Mei's new skin doesn't deserve to be an expensive legendary at all."

According to Polygon, one Reddit user wrote regarding the 'Overwatch' update, "Been waiting for a new legendary mei skin. Was expecting something to come out during Christmas. Turns out all they did was a fu**** mei recolor with a hat and they labelled it a fu**** legendary."

So why the reactions? In 'Overwatch', legendary skins for other characters will have something out of ordinary, not just a simple recolor and add-on. So basically, fans are expecting something more, but received something less.

But it seems like Blizzard Entertainment doesn't get the fans' complaints. They believe that Mei's skin is actually "fun" even if they don't consider them as "legendary". Well, if that is what Blizzard Entertainment stands for, 'Overwatch' players just have to deal with it.
