Dr. Yeager's decision has been questioned by numerous fans. However, some believe that his human side will still prevail. "Attack on Titan" season 2 spoilers indicate that his return will be for the purpose of restoring Eren back to his total human form.

Meanwhile, other "Attack on Titan" season 2 spoilers reveal that the Grisha Yeager who will appear before Eren is a conman. It is said that someone who knows all of the missing doctor's secrets will claim to be the father Eren has been wanting to meet.
