Bungie has released a Christmas-themed update that will be available through the holidays. Titled "The Dawning," the new update will be available beyond Christmas, and brings back secret Sparrows, a treat for fans and gamers of the first person shooter game.
The news comes via Polygon, which reports that "Destiny"'s Sparrow Racing League has now been expanded with "The Dawning" update. The amazing thing here is that there are now twice as many maps as there were last year and new exotic items to grab.
Previously, the only maps available for "Destiny"'s Sparrow Racing League were Infinite Descent on Venus and Campus Martius on Mars. Now, thanks to "The Dawning" update available through the holidays, gamers can now explore Haakon Precipice on Earth and Shining Sands on Mercury.
Meanwhile, VG24/7 reports that as "The Dawning" update available through the holidays, it also brings back tow secret Sparrows to the game. There are currently two secret Sparrows to obtain, namely the Bannerfall Ghost and Lysander’s Cry Sparrow.
In order to get the Bannerfall Ghost and Lysander’s Cry Sparrow, "Destiny" fans must begin a private Control match on the Bannerfall map. Next, look for the buildings surrounding the C control point for a new Dead Ghost. Head over to the Tower and enter the Hangar wing and begin looking for the dark corner under the Future War Cult area for the “Lysander’s Cry” prompt. For more information, check out the video below.
Eurogamer reports that "The Dawning" update available through the holidays comes completely free, so make sure to catch it before January 3. Don't worry tough, as the new Strike scoring system and mode are both permanent additions to Bungie's "Destiny."
