While Niantic still hasn't released an official announcement about the "Pokemon Go" Christmas update, it appears that it has dropped a huge hint via Pikachu wearing an adorable Santa Claus hat. The image of Pikachu wearing a Santa hat has fuelled speculations and raised the hopes of "Pokemon Go" players that the "Pokemon Go" Christmas update will indeed push through.

Take note that Pikachu wearing a Santa hat is limited-edition and players will have to catch Pikachu first. The quest to catch a Pikachu wearing a Santa Hat is reportedly one of the many Christmas-themed tweaks of "Pokemon Go."

'Pokemon Go' Latest Updates

The "Pokemon Go" Christmas update remains to be one of the most highly-anticipated events before 2016 year ends. According to reports, players can catch Pikachu in Santa Hat until December 29. The "Pokemon Go" Christmas update is predicted to roll out on December 21 and will end on Christmas morning, December 25.

The arrival of new baby Gen 2 Pokemon are reportedly the prelude to "Pokemon Go" Christmas update and in-game event. According to reports, a new batch of baby Gen 2 Pokemon will be released during the "Pokemon Go" Christmas update and in-game event.

Reports revealed that Niantic plans to release 100 Gen 2 Pokemon. However, due to time and staff constraints, the Gen 2 Pokemon will be released in batches.
