Have you ever experience sending a message to the wrong person and ending up not wanting to see that person again out of embarrassment? The latest WhatsApp update for 2.17.1.869 for iOS might be the perfect one for you

According to WABetaInfo featured on IBT, you can now revoke sent messages through the latest WhatsApp update 2.17.1.869. In a video presentation of the said update, all you need to do is to press on the message sent and when the options appear, choose "revoke" and you messages to the other party will be retracted and removed.

Unfortunately, the said WhatsApp Update is currently on its beta form and is not yet delegated to all WhatsApp users. Meanwhile, some few restrictions were also mentioned for this WhatsApp update of revoking messages. According to the report, there's a time limit when you can revoke a message. Apparently, you cannot revoke an old message that has been sitting on you and your friend's phone for quite sometime.

The rumor about the upcoming WhatsApp update did not specify the time frame when you can revoke a message, but surely in the future you will need it. If you look at your WhatsApp application, the feature may not appear there yet, or is disabled primarily because the WhatsApp update is still in development.
