Windows 10 Build 14986 Now Available For Slow Ring Window Insiders, No More New Builds For Windows 10 Insider This Year?

After the released of Windows 10 build 14986 for the Fast ring Window Insiders last week, Microsoft announced that the build was recently released for Slow ring Insiders with several updates and bug fixes.

Windows 10 build 14986 is now available for download from Windows Update for both Fast ring and Slow ring Window Insiders. Many Slow ring Insiders had considered this new update and they confirmed that Microsoft met their expectations. In fact, build 14986 was the biggest and effective released update of the company after they started to manage with Creators Update.

Windows 10 build 14986 was also connected with Cortana wherein the users can turn off their computer, change volumes and play music using the voice command. In this update, Cortana allows playing music from its third-party applications that include TuneIn Radio and iHeartRadio.

In addition, build 14986 have several improvements to offer. First in line is the Windows Game Bar that supports games with improved full-screen. The update offers the improved Windows Ink for rendering technology for the Universal Windows Platform. There are also certain improvements for Narrator as well as the Microsoft Edge with new extensions - Read&White, Ebates, and Intel TrueKey. Not to mention the new Windows Defender that brings the new version of a dashboard.

Windows 10 build 14986 for PC can be found in the Windows Update setting app. However, for Windows 10 mobile users, the company will give further announcement regarding its release.

On the other hand, Windows 10 Insiders will no longer receive any new builds for this year. Microsoft's operations will slow down for holiday season and that's the reason why they decided not to release new builds anymore.

The upcoming ISOs for the Slow ring build will push next week. Microsoft did a pretty good job in 2016 since they released several updates for their users. That includes Windows 10 Redstone, Windows 10 Redstone 1 and Windows 10 Anniversary Update.
