New Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare Preorder Trailer Shows off Dolphin Guns and Zombie Cosmonauts [VIDEO]

PopCap and EA have just released this new Gameplay Pre-Order trailer for Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare and it's got everything you could ask for in a multiplayer PVZ game. The change from tower defense to third person action seems to fit the property well, as you'll see from all of the insanity on display. Pirate ships? A dolphin gun? Zombie cosmonauts? It's only a quick taste but it's one tasty salad indeed.

The game will be multiplayer-only which explains why it's only going to cost $40 for Xbox One, $30 for Xbox 360, although they have plans to expand on what they've learned with Plants Vs Zombies 2, building on the game with DLC and constant content updates. Check it out here.

Unfortunately this trailer also comes with the news that the game has been delayed, but it's only by a week, from February 18th to February 25th. Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warefare is a timed-exclusive Xbox launch which means that PS4 owners will likely be able to play it at some point, but there's no word on when. Xbox owners will get Smart Glass integration and a special boss level, so it might be the version to own.

Don't forget, you don't have to be just the Plants this time- you can choose from either side. Pick the zombies and you'll control an entire zombie horde that emerges from a Zomboss lair hidden in the mountains. We now have word on some new types of units, though. For instance, there's the Hot Rod Chomper which eats zombies, or the Future Catcus which fires energy quills at enemies that can be charged up for a super shock. We have 11 minutes of gameplay footage to show you how some of these units are going to work, specifically with the four-player co-op mode. Check it out below and remember, only one month to go! Hopefully that will give you enough time to get plenty of online games in before Titanfall drops. The games are coming, Xbox One owners- they're coming.
