'Moto M' Latest News & Updates: Android Nougat OS Coming Soon, Motorola Inc Confirms Details Here!
Motorola Inc. has finally announced the latest upgrades of Moto M. The flagship smartphone will finally run on Android Nougat.
According to reports, Motorola Inc. has announced via their official Moto India Twitter account that Moto M will start getting Android 7.0 Nougat soon. This operating system (OS) update applies to both the Chinese and Indian variants of the smartphone. The Moto Z and Moto Z Force already received the Android 7.0 Nougat update.
Unfortunately, Motorola Inc. does not heavily-skinned Android Nougat OS. The company basically use Google's iteration of Android Nougat and added some of their features on top of it, reports have learned. In line with this, the Android Nougat OS update will most likely resemble the one available for the Moto Z and Moto Z Force smartphones.
The Moto M sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with Phase-Detection Autofocus (PDAF), and an 8-megapixel snapper on the front side. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, 4G VoLTE (with support for Indian LTE bands), USB Type-C (USB 3.1), near field communication (NFC), and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS comes pre-installed, but as recently confirmed by Motorola Inc., the Android 7.0 Nougat OS update will be available soon, sources have learned. Motorola Moto M is fueled by either the Helio P10 or Helio P15 system on a chip (SoC), depending on where the buyer purchased it.
The smartphone comes with a Moto M handset. It is made out of metal and houses a fingerprint scanner on the back. The device sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080) full HD Super AMOLED (active matrix OLED) display, 3 GB / 4 GB worth of read-only memory (RAM) and 32 GB / 64 GB worth of expandable storage. It also comes with a fast-charging 3,050 mAh battery.
As of this moment, the American multinational telecommunications company has not announced the official launch date of the latest firmware. Speculations suggest that the update will be available anytime soon in 2017.
