'Call of Duty: Black Ops 3' Latest News & Updates: The Games Newest Update Introduces Unranked Dedicated Servers; Find out Here How to Get Started!
Activision's "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" latest update 18 features unranked dedicated servers as well as additional number of fresh assets to its mod tools from its Campaign, Free Run and Zombies modes. Bug fixes and a security update are also included in the newest update.
According to PC Gamer, "Treyarch" developer Cesar Stastny teased on "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" additional unranked dedicated servers allow players to host and manage the private servers of their own. They can also play by their own rules and free of Activision's official forums.
Steam Community provides the details on how to get started. First, in the Tools section of the Steam Library, players can see two new items such as "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" Dedicated Server and "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" Remote Console.
To run the remote console tool or the dedicated server, there is no need to install the "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3." In the "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" game folder, both of these new applications will install, which players can usually find it at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Duty Black Ops III.
The unranked dedicated server can run from the same PC that's running "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" or from a totally separate or different computer. It will give players access to run their own servers, admin who are able to play on the server, manage the servers' content and a lot more.
Additionally, if the players' server is being run via a server hosting company or on another PC, the remote console will let players manage the server of their own from any machine no matter where their servers are running.
