'The Walking Dead Season 3: A New Frontier' Story Generator Skips Save Games
GameRant revealed that "The Walking Dead Season 3: A New Frontier" is set to launch on Dec. 20, 2016. Telltale Games has developed a way for new players who have no save games from the first two games to catch up. "The Walking Dead" Season 3 players will have to make 42 important decisions that will develop how their starting conditions in the third season will be.
Kevin Bruner, Telltale Games CEO, said that they want to know why "The Walking Dead" players made the decisions as they went along. He explained that the reason for "The Walking Dead" players' decisions matters most in their games. In Season One, players only have two big decisions to make at the end.
The developers of "The Walking Dead" analyzed thousands of playthroughs that people went through and determined that there were about 42 unique paths available. "The Walking Dead" Story Generator allows players to choose through the 42 decisions to guide their initial situation in the third chapter.
'The Walking Dead' Game is Similar to a Personality Test
According to Bruner, "The Walking Dead" players can be categorized into several types, such as family-driven, funny, sympathetic, pragmatic and vindictive, among others. "The Walking Dead" is like a personality test that lets players determine who they are or pretending to be.
Videogamer stated that "The Walking Dead" Story Generator can determine which of the 42 paths new players are probably on. The Story Generator will begin with the 42 paths and each asked question will eliminate some until only one path is left.
Telltale Games can immediately create a version of Clementine that will right for the player, based only on the answers and without the need for old save games. The result may not be 100% accurate, but is still statistically close. More updates and details on "The Walking Dead: A New Frontier" will follow soon.
