It will be the firm's first to introduce the feature to an otherwise lower-cost variant in its roster. It will also serve as the first smartphone among its competition to be equipped with a display that can only be seen among the high-end entries at the moment. This development has been corroborated by the recent leaks and renders that are associated with the forthcoming smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) is likewise to come with 16-megapixel front and rear camera with f/1.9 aperture. Also, the smartphone may get equipped with a fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C connector, dual-SIM support and a water-resistant functionality. It is slated to get released in January 2017.
