'State of Decay 2' Latest News & Update: Sequel To Blockbuster Xbox Live Title To Be Released Soon

The studio Undead Labs, developer of "State of Decay 2" announced that its release date and more details will be revealed during E3 2017. Jeff Strain founder of Undead Labs posted in a blog that along with systems, gameplay and so much more, the release date will be revealed.

He advised gamers to pace themselves and mark their calendars on June. According to GameSpot, there is no much information about "State of Decay 2" except from the fact that the world will be substantially larger. There are speculations that co-op players could split up compared to the first game.

"State of Decay 2" was announced during Microsoft's E3 2016 briefing. It said that "State of Decay" will be getting a sequel for PC and Xbox One. But, it announced that the two systems cold obtain the new sequel as part of the new Play Anywhere program of Microsoft and it will be a four player co-op game.

There is no specific date but the game is confirmed to be released on 2017 and the exact detail is expected to be announced at E3 2017. Since it was confirmed that it could be played on PC and Xbox One, those who already own them could digitally play the game on both platform.

Meanwhile, Undead Labs released a scary holiday card today, which says "Happy Holidays Undead Labs". The card consists of a scary Santa and three other alien or elf like creatures.

"State of Decay" was released in June 2013 initially exclusive for Xbox 360. But, it then becomes available on PCs. Another version of the game called "Year One Survival Edition" was made available for Xbox One in 2015.  

According to Windows Central, "State of Decay" is a blockbuster during the Xbox 360 era. The game allows players to manage survivors of an open world zombie apocalypse.
