‘Pokémon Go’ Release Date, News & Update: Apple Watch Development Was Stopped Unless Increased Demand, Niantic Working On Next Big Thing
Niantic Labs representative debunked issue regarding an email which is said that the development of the game continued. The company further confirmed that the development of the port of "Pokémon Go" for Apple Watch has been stopped unless demands have been increased. Though the company promised that they are now working on the next big projects.
Fortune wrote that the promise that "Pokémon Go" for Apple Watch was just part of the presentation in September, though the project was still alive and more news will be expected soon. The delay seemed due to faded interest after the game has dropped off though the game was still top-listed to App Annie for top-grossing apps for iOS.
However, as reported by Sunday Express, Niantic confirmed that they are still working on moving "Pokémon Go" to another devices. The cancellation of the project is also speculated as higher cost for Apple watch version of the game plus stock shortage.

The Apple Watch version for "Pokémon Go" should've helped players track the nearest Pokémon. It also shows how any steps a player needs to walk for egg hatching. However, the newest update helps users transfer multiple Pokémon to Professor Willow in a single transaction.

The game has made its blockbuster hit this year after they made a $500 million in record time. "Pokémon Goers" are still hopeful that the project will be pursued and will released soon. Though Niantic remained silent about the issue right now.
