LG G Pad III Release Date, News & Update: 10.1 Rolled Out Carries Built-in Kickstand Eyed For E-Readers; LG Supplying Batteries For Samsung?

LG G Pad III 10.1 has finally rolled out. The new device is the bigger version of the 8-inch tablet that was released in May.

LG G Pad III 10.1 Specs and Design Are Suited For E-Readers

The new LG G Pad III 10.1 is reportedly partnering with some academic institutions for its upcoming rollout. The device features a 1920 x 1200 resolution with a full HD technology and a 6000mAh battery.

LG G Pad III 10.1, however, could be at a disadvantage against the Amazon Kindle Fire and iPad Air if it plans to capture the e-book readers, considering its 510-gram weight. Apparently, the users could unlikely hold the tablet for long hours of reading. That said, the LG reportedly outfit the device with a kickstand, making the LG G Pad III 10.1 capable of angle adjustments up to 70 degrees.

As for the processor of LG G Pad III 10.1, there is still no information on that area, as the company only revealed that the device will come with an octa-core 1.5GHz processor. It should be recalled that the smaller version of LG G Pad III 10.1 is packed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617.

LG G Pad III 10.1 is also reported to have a 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. A second variant is also believed to be packed with a stylus next year, according to report.

LG Is Likely Supplying Phone Batteries For Samsung

Samsung is expected to ink a deal with LG, which is another South Korean company. According to a Chinese newspaper, the deal now has over 90 percent chance of being signed by both companies. If reports are proven true, LG will begin providing phone batteries for Samsung beginning in the second half of 2017, CNET reported.
