The smartphone is set to arrive in January, which means that HTC could take advantage of the highly publicized event to announce a new phone, even if it's just a mid-range. It shows that the upcoming "HTC X10" could have a 5.5-inch display with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution.

CES 2017 is taking place this January, 2017 which is next month, wondering if HTC will take advantage of the event to announce the handset, which right now is rumored to be called the "HTC X10." The smartphone might carry a price tag of about $288, quite affordable for a mid-range device. It doesn't bring any major changes compared to its predecessor, which had a "MediaTek Helio X10" processor inside, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory.

The latest rumors reveal that HTC is working on a successor to the HTC One X9, called HTC X10. The "HTC One X9 mid-range" was released back in December 2015 and there hasn't been a successor yet. HTC is said to reveal the HTC X10 during the first month of next year. The device is expected to run a MediaTek Helio P10 SoC with an octa-core 2GHz CPU, specifically Cortex-A53 cores. It will also have Mali-T860 graphics processing unit clocked at 700MHz. HTC X10 might also incorporate 3GB of RAM and have a 13MP rear camera with "OIS (Optical Image Stabilization)."

The phone carries a power from 3,000mAh battery and had a rear camera and a 5.5-inch full HD display. HTC One X9 didn't come with a fingerprint sensor, so it remains to be seen if its successor will sport one. One selling point of the smartphone is the "HTC BoomSound" speakers on the front, which provide clear audio output.

The global edition of the "HTC X10" will be launched with a full metal body, coupled with Adreno 540 graphics processing unit. It might also have a whopping 8GB of RAM capacity and 256GB of internal storage.
