Rumored last month and finally confirmed this week, the next champion for League of Legends has finally been released. Vel'Koz, the Eye of the Void, has landed on the Fields of Justice. You can see him in action in the champion spotlight below in his Battlecast skin, where he looks like he'll be a real menace to other players of this insanely popular MOBA.
According to Riot Games- "Vel'Koz excels at ranged warfare, blasting out Plasma Fission and Void Rift to chunk down distant targets while repelling approaching enemies with Tectonic Disruption. Repeated attacks build up Deconstruction stacks as Vel'Koz analyzes and learns about his enemies, resulting in significant true damage during sustained fights. Once his subjects are primed, the Eye of the Void unleashes his ultimate, Life Form Disintegration Ray, to vaporize all before him."

This 4.3 Patch includes a number of changes to the game to balance things as well - Kassadin has been nerfed a bit and Kha'zix is as well, both champion's abilities lessened in the amount of damage they do. Teemo's annoying deathshrooms were fixed, and Yasuo's shield's duration has been lessened, making him a little weaker.
As for Vel'Koz, he will sell with his Battlecast skin in a bundle for 1462 RP (normally 1950 RP) until the end of the weekend, which is a little over $10 in real-world money. Riot Games does have a sale going on with extra bonus RP for your purchase- $10 will get you 1460 RP instead of 1300, just in time for this champion's relase. It's only available till March 9th so get on it soon- you can find out the full details of this promotion on the official League of Legends site.
