'Runescape' Latest News & Update: MMO Gaming Could Go VR; Runescape Team Sends Survey About VR

With virtual reality gaming on the rise, gamers are patiently waiting for their favorite titles to pick up on the innovation. This includes players of the popular massively multiplayer online (MMO) title "Runescape." Fortunately, developer of "Runescape" Jagex may be planning to get on the VR gameplay sooner than expected.

A Reddit user by the name of Ayyyylel posted an intriguing e-mail he received regarding "Runescape." The user claimed that he received an email from the Runescape Team containing a survey about VR. The survey only contained questions regarding the use of virtual reality, voice control, as well as "Runescape" elements and did not ask for any personal information at all.

Because of this, fans are wondering if the "Runescape" team has plans to produce a VR version of the well-loved game. This could present a breakthrough in VR gaming, as it could allow for many to interact with other players in a different way.

However, the Reddit user pointed out that there is still no official confirmation from the Runescape Team regarding the legitimacy of the e-mail and VR survey. One of the other users on Reddit tried to reach out to the team, but received no reply. With that, it is still unsure as to what Jagex has planned for "Runescape."

On the other hand, there are some fans of "Runescape" who are not too keen on bringing the game to VR. Since the online game is played in third-person view, incorporating VR may change the vibe of the game altogether. In addition, it was pointed out that VR might actually ruin the experience of Runescape altogether because the actions may not seem realistic.

Nevertheless, gamers can expect exciting things ahead for VR gaming. Fans will just have to wait for more news on how "Runescape" will adapt to the changing gaming experience.
