'Fallout 5' Release Date, Updates & Features: Prewar Section Expansion, More Vaults & Drivable Vehicles Expected In Sequel; More Gameplay Details Revealed
Spoilers are thin to the ground for Bethesda's "Fallout 5," save for confirmation that the game is indeed in preproduction alongside "The Elder Scrolls 6." However, other projects currently being spearheaded by Bethesda may mean that players are still years before "Fallout 5" officially launches. This include current efforts to complete "Fallout 4" VR edition and "Dishonored" sequels.
On the bright side, this means that there's still plenty of time to make wishlists on what should and what should not appear on "Fallout 5." This means more vaults, actual drivable vehicles, better graphics, prewar sections expansions, among others.
Prewar section expansion
Among the features players wish to see in "Fallout 5" is the expansion of the prewar sections. This is because despite the superb narrative that the "Fallout" series has to offer, the lack of any comprehensive pre-apocalyptic narratives in the game have dulled its impact a little. The addition of prewar sections, including missions involving the war before the nukes, would certainly be a great treat for fans, according to What Culture.
More vaults in 'Fallout 5'
"Fallout 4" was also wanting in interesting vaults. There were only five of them in the fourth installment, and players wish to see more in "Fallout 5." These should also come with interesting backstories with challenging aftermaths, and they should also be diverse enough to make sure that "Fallout 5" continues to stand out from its contemporaries.
Among the contentions of players in "Fallout" games is the lack of drivable vehicles despite the massive amount of wreckage. Adding a drivable vehicle in "Fallout 5" would not diminish its apocalyptic quality; in fact, one sole drivable vehicle would even accentuate it. Furthermore, it would also make traveling across the game's location even easier.
