'Pokémon Go' Christmas Events and Updates: Evolutions and Incubators; Catch All Characters With Apple Watch
"Pokémon Go" gamers can now use their Apple Watch to play the hit game. The Niantic Labs also updated and upgraded "Pokémon Go" to hold Christmas events this holiday season.
A recent report from Tech Times suggested that Niantic Labs has finally released the "Pokémon GO" app for the Apple Watch last December 22. The plan was first announced during the September event of the Apple company. It was then finished and launched after three months.
The "Pokémon GO" app will not run on the Apple Watch device itself, but it can be powered with the main app installed on the iOS. This will help the gamer find the nearby characters without the need to open their phone anymore. The Apple Watch would still require the users to turn on their phones.
Apple Watch reportedly shares some similar features from the "Pokémon GO Plus" app, which is another wearable device that help in the gamers progress. It features notifications for some nearby Pokémons. It can also spin the PokéStops and collect the items. It can also track the Pokémons and the distance that was traveled.
TIME even reported that the game can be used as a workout session for the players. The gamers' movement can be helpful with their fitness goals, as it would require them to walk as they find the other Pokémons.
In the meantime, iTech Post unveiled that Niantic upgraded "Pokémon GO" to held Christmas events this season. The event will be divided in two parts, which will run from December 25 to January 3.
In the first event, players will need to play eggs and incubators. The gamers could hatch them in 2KM, 5KM and 10KM. The players can use one incubators, which could be purchased with PokeCoins or real-life currency. The second event will take place from December 30 to January 8, which would cover the New Year. Starter Pokemons like Squirtle, Bulbasaur and Charmander will evolved in this event.
