‘The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’: Everything We Know

The initial introduction of "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" way back in 2014 revealed a spectacular gameplay exhibition and fans instantly wanted more. Various delays have kept the game from finally hitting the market. After three years, the game's development cycle is nearing completion and is expected to finally be out in the market this year.

Contrary to the conventional linear Zelda games, "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is set in an open world called Hyrule where gamers can complete dungeons in any order they wish. To defeat dungeon monsters, players are required to access what is said to be the most versatile version of Link yet says Game Rant.

Link's new set of skills include wall climbing, snowboarding using his shield and gliding with makeshift gliders. Damages are inevitable during gameplay. Players will be able to restore health using one of Link's newly acquired cooking skills. It turns out that Link is now able to prepare several recipes to heal himself and achieve many other status effects.

Acquiring battle equipment to defeat is enemies is another important gameplay skill as Link's equipment in "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is breakable. Gamers need to master the hunting of new weapons and gears while they play.

Special key items which give new abilities are hidden in the open world and in the dungeons too. Amiibo can also be used in the game for other added advantages.

The game enemies include devilish Moblins and robotic Guardians while a new take Link's longtime nemesis Ganon serve as the game's central adversary.

Nintendo is expected to release an announcement on "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild release date in the upcoming Nintendo Switch event in January 12. It is expected that leading to its final release, more game information including story details and gameplay feature shall be revealed.

What's known is that "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" game under development for Wii U and Nintendo Switch is anticipated to hit the market anytime in 2017.
