Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 All But Abandoned, New Personalization Pack DLC Now Available [VIDEO]

New DLC Hits Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 With Octane, Dead Man's Hand, Weaponized 115, and Beast Personalization Packs

As the latest for the Call of Duty franchise, Ghosts is the current cock of the walk, but Activision hasn't abandoned the previous (and more positively reviewed) game in the series, Black Ops II. Developer Treyarch now has a total of four new personalization packs are now available for gamers to download.

The packs are a themed set, offering reticles, weapon camo, and calling cards. Amazingly, the DLC also seems to be following with Call of Duty tradition with giving priority to Xbox over all other platforms. No word on when the content will be available on other platforms, if at all. A press release provided all the necessary details, and a trailer showed it all off:

Weaponized 115: The Weaponized 115 Personalization Pack brings the power of Zombies to any Multiplayer match. Pack your weapons with an all-new Call of Duty: Black Ops II Origins-inspired camo, set of reticles, and undead animated calling card.

Octane: Accelerate your multiplayer action with the Octane Personalization Pack. Fuel every firefight with a speedway-inspired camouflage pattern, race-ready reticles, and an all-new animated calling card.

Dead Man's Hand: Dominate any multiplayer shootout with the Dead Man's Hand Personalization Pack. Look like a true gunslinger with a weapon camo covered in card suits, death-dealing reticles, and an all-new animated calling card.

Beast: Inspired by nature's most lethal predators, the Beast Personalization Pack drapes every weapon in a coat of fierce, bright orange camouflage, three uniquely-shaped reticles (fangs, claw marks, and paw print), and an all-new animated calling card.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II is set in a war-torn Los Angeles in the year 2025. The People's Republic of China has invaded Los Angeles due to a global struggle involving rare earth minerals. At the same time, a terrorist by the name of Raul Menendez manages to infiltrate the miltary network to take over hundreds of the U.S's own automated drones, using them to attack its major cities. It might sound a bit far fetched, but it's really not.

The game sees players assume the role of Alex Mason's son, David, though poppa Mason will appear here and there, as will another familiar face - Frank Woods. Players are able to make choices throughout the game that will affect the story, including a variety of endings.

Since its November 2012 release on PC, PS3, Wii U, and Xbox 360, Black Ops 2 has managed to gross over $1 billion, which is just another milestone for the shooter. Shortly after the game's launch, it was revealed that Black Ops 2 managed to set records as Amazon's most pre-ordered game ever. It also managed to hit a sell-through of over $500 million worldwide in the first 24 hours of its release.
